Using bamboo to articulate metaphysical values
The bamboo façades and ceilings of Luo Fu Shan Shui Museum, along with raw materials such as oyster shells and stone that were sourced locally from Huizhou, China’s Guangdong Province, communicate values of sustainability and harmony with the environment that are deeply rooted in the Chinese tradition. Hong Kong’s ADARC INTERNATIONAL STUDIO LIMITED designed the Museum, which is a part of a larger hospitality complex, to reflect Asian metaphysics and articulate a form of human–nature reunion long sought after in Chinese philosophy.
