Experimenting with Bamboo Paper: Yun

Yun, or Cloud, is a vase made of yuhang bamboo paper, which is manufactured in local paper workshops in the same way as it has always been made. No additives were added to produce strong sheets of paper that are naturally strengthened by bamboo fibre. Rough edges and surface give each sheet its unique characteristics, and highlight the process of traditional papermaking by hand. The vase was coated with natural beeswax to make it water resistant. Yun bamboo paper products were designed by the team of Pinwu of Hangzhou, China.
