A homeware that is as strong as strips of paper
Using paper’s tensile strength, Bicorne is a bowl that is composed of strips of paper of varying length standing up to support the weight of the food it carries. Outer strips are longer, allowing them to curl, and centre strips are shorter, allowing them to stretch. A traditional Japanese paper-binding technique completes the design and gives both form and strength to the product. The team at KoDesign Lab of Japan created this unique ware made of paper.
