Made of hardwood and coated with Japanese urushi lacquer, the Moonbird lamp is coveted for its sculptural beauty as well as its functionality. The ultra-thin top panel is fitted with state-of-the-art light source technology, and the base is handcrafted to show off natural wood patterns. In Japanese Hashimoto Yukio Design Studio designer Yukio Hashimoto’s poetic rendering of a bird perched beneath the moon, wood is the warm and natural material that breathes life into the lamp.
