Exhibitor’s Stories
To help people socialise over a pot of tea, Lee Chi Wing of Milk Design created a lightweight, handcrafted wooden bar that can be moved and used anywhere. This mobile tea bar is a combination of a counter with legs and three detachable box units that house a stove, tea, teaware and water. As the tea master brews and serves tea on the counter, sliding metal plates extend the usable counter space on which hot teacups rest as people appreciate the aromas and flavours as well as the cultural practices of preparing and drinking tea. The bar is easy to transport, set up and look after. Hong Kong-based Milk is dedicated to studying and reinventing age-old traditions and cultures for modern life.
