Xavier graduated from Automation and Design Engineering in The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Furniture Design in Accademia Italiana D’arte, Moda e Design. He has been awarded the 40 UNDER 40 Award from Perspective Magazine (2013) and the Young Design Talent Special Mention Award (2013) by HKDC.

After practising in the design industry for few years, he founded artisanal candle and fragrance brand BeCandle in 2012. By producing locally at its Sai Kung shop-factory complex, with finely controlled quality and carefully sourced premium materials from worldwide, it’s products has been well recognised and are distributed internationally. Thanks to its unique fragrances and designs, the brand has created and produced wide range of exclusively collaborated products with renown brands from different fields.

The material focused and experimental approach of his works let the brand gain exposure in major exhibitions like Fuori Salone at The Milan Design Week, Maison & Objet in Paris, DMY Berlin, Tokyo Designers Week, Bangkok Design Week and The Cheongju Handcraft Biennale, etc..
