Seiko Clock Design – the Magic of Chinese Calligraphy – Design Spectrum

IN THE MOMENT
In collaboration with Seiko in 1998, this timepiece re-examines and reveals Chinese characters through time. The longer minute hand, resembling an extended brushstroke, moves around the dial and, every five minutes, it will temporarily become the missing stroke, thus completing the character, and making each of the characters clear and meaningful. The Chinese characters are numbers one to twelve.
