WEAVING A COMMUNITY TOGETHER
The Textile Atlas is an online resource platform offering primary materials to educate people about and promote traditional textile crafts. It is a welcome repository of knowledge, information, and skills for people who are interested in the crafts, as well as industry practitioners and researchers. This project shows us our heritage and humanity, and connects us to our past and traditions.
Sharon Tsang-de Lyster, founder of The Textile Atlas hosted design and product development training with Hong Kong based asylum seekers in collaboration with RUN and craft development expert Joseph Lo. RUN is a Hong Kong-based nonprofit that supports vulnerable refugees, particularly women, to build resilience and nurture self-reliance for a more hopeful future.
