Launched in 2014, Classics Anew is a ready-to-wear womenswear label created by designer Janko Lam. Blending traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary elements, Lam seeks to preserve and reimagine vintage fashion for a new generation. Made with fabrics such as organic cotton, linen, denim, and silk, Classics Anew designs are grounded in a philosophy of sustainability and wearability. Lam founded the Classics Anew Academy under the umbrella of Classics Anew, to further promote the uniqueness of traditional Chinese clothing and celebrate its heritage. The Classics Anew Academy offers courses and workshops teaching how to create traditional Chinese pieces such as cheongsam dresses and handmade fabric flower buttons.
