REDUCE FOOD WASTE
Dyelicious is a social enterprise that turns food waste into natural dyes, backed by the concept of cherishing food and reducing food waste. In so doing, the startup reduces organic waste that goes to the landfill and offers a pollution-free alternative to the harsh and toxic chemical dyes that pollute water resources. Natural food dyeing can be broken down into a series of processes including extraction, liquid preparation and colouring. Additional mordants are included to create different colours and hues and improve colour sharpness. Dyelicious sources wastes from the food and beverage industry and works with end consumers to replace chemical dye with their natural products.
