We can easily spot the traces of cats in Sham Shui Po. Some of them roaming the streets and alleys, being community cats cared for by the local shops, while others stay inside the stores, taking up the role of the shop manager. Each cat has its own unique way of life, adapting to the daily changes and transformations of the neighbourhood. Are the cautious or carefree? They don’t seem to bother understanding. They simply enjoy the sunlight, wait for meals, and on good days, they greet you with a ‘meow’ that makes you pause and smile. They add a distinctive charm to Sham Shui Po, establishing a subtle connection with residents and visitors.
