【Design Spectrum x Hong Kong Open Press】Guided Tour & Letterpress Printing Experience

In May, Design Spectrum will present a new thematic exhibition ‘Pass The Baton’, exploring the concept of inheritance in both tangible and intangible aspects and the role of design. Before the exhibition begins, Design Spectrum will host a series of events in April to early May, taking the general public on a journey of unravelling the complexity of inheritance.

Hong Kong Open Press showcases the printing presses of retired local pressmen. Some of the equipment are over 60 years old but can still produce exquisite prints. Hong Kong Open Press not only preserves the hardware but also tells the stories behind exhibits and the craftsmanship involved in them. In the 【Design Spectrum x Hong Kong Open Press】 Guided Tour and Letterpress Printing Experience to be held on 20 and 30 April, participants can discover how printing is transformed from a traditional manufacturing industry to a contemporary creative medium, and create their own souvenir cards using letterpress printing.
