    Finding the Commons (Online workshop)

Do you ever wonder how to create a happy community? Join Islanders on an exploration of the unique culture of Peng Chau. 40-minutes away from busy Central, you’ll find a place living its own rhythm. Through the workshop, Islanders will prepare a map for participant, to lead you to observe and discover the unique culture of commoning. Through your eyes and ears, mark your findings on the map and get a better understanding of how people connect to their territory and neighbours, and what you can take back home from your learning!

The workshop will be conducted under 3 phases:
Part 1 (26 Mar): Introduction (conducted by Zoom)
Part 2 (April – 8 May)*: Participants will explore Peng Chau separately and individually using the map designed by Islanders within a month and record the findings and observations.
Part 3 (14 May): To share the observations with Islanders and other participants (tentatively conducted by Zoom; Sharing Session may be held in Peng Chau when the pandemic situation is relieved and the anti-epidemic measures are conditionally relaxed. More details will be updated at Introduction Session)

*Participants are highly recommended to explore Peng Chau when the pandemic situation is relieved and please follow the precautionary measures and regulations set by the HKSAR government when exploring in Peng Chau. The workshop may be adjusted or altered depending on the pandemic situation, please stay tuned at Design Spectrum’s platform for latest updates.

They conduct urban research work and offer cultural activities that aim at deepening participants’ understanding of the island.
