Exhibitor’s Stories

Kouéno is a collection of benches made from slabwood. Slabwood refers to the edge pieces milled from a saw log. These pieces of wood are typically discarded by sawmills and woodworkers due to their asymmetrical and irregular shapes. Through Lucas Hosteing’s research, a collection of geometric extrusions that resemble inverted trees was created. This approach allows us to incorporate slabwood into our interior spaces in its most natural form.
