Design Spectrum x ‘Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In’: Screening & Sharing

Film, as an important medium for the inheritance of modern culture, can showcase the diverse phenomena of society. Through meticulous design of scenes, language, costumes and other details, films can portray characters and reflect the unique perspectives of the era. A scene with a sense of life helps audiences easily get into the drama of the film, where the Art Director can play a critical role.

Design Spectrum has invited Mr Mak Kwok-Keung, Art Director of ‘Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In’, and Mr Michael Leung, Curator of ‘Pass The Baton’ Exhibition, to join a sharing session after the screening of ‘Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In’. They will explore how value can be represented by design. For example, how the arrangement of bricks and stones, and the topography to the traces of residents’ lives in the walled city, can integrate modern design to recreate the unique character of the Kowloon Walled City.
