Inspired by Ichi-go ichi-e, a Japanese idiom most commonly associated with Japanese ceremonies treasuring once-in-a-lifetime encounters, “Once” features teas that are season-specific. For the current season, we have selected five teas, including three charcoal-roasted oolong teas, namely Alpine Crabs Oolong, Autumn Leaf Iron Goddess and Gold Osmanthus Oolong, as well as two Japanese teas, “Gifu Green Blade” and “Shizuoka Genmaicha”. These seasonal blends allude to an attitude to life: our moments, like the bloom of tea plants, can never be relived again.
